Note One:
The one who is strong in faith explain that we do a different Haftorah for Rosh Chodesh (the begining of the lunar month.) He also explained the calendar simply by saying that there are x months of 30 days and every seventh year an additonal month called Adar 2.
I prayed with intention but felt some confusion as it was my first ma ariv that wasn't a holiday (I went on Shavout the first two times)
We used a different siddur. The "guys" said they argue over whether it is red or maroon.
Rabbi invited me into his office but he had business. We talked about Israel in the news briefly.
-----
The one who is strong in faith told me the commandments are in Exodus and Deu.
-----
I have started to cover my eyes when I read Sh' Ma because of something I read about Kavanah. It works for me; might be psychological but it seems different.
------
I love the Ma' ariv but I think we are doing the afternoon service instead of evening?
Ani Uveyti Naavod Et H"
Not on mortals do I rely, nor upon angels do I depend, but on the God of the Universe, the God of truth, whose Torah is truth, and who abounds in deeds of goodness and truth. In God do I put my trust; unto God’s holy, precious being do I utter praise. Open my heart to Your Torah. Answer my prayers and the prayers of all Your people Israel for goodness, for life, and for peace. Amen. - Zohar, Parashat Vayakhel
